Fancy a cheap flight to Florida? Looking for a Florida Villa?
New Open Skies agreement which allows cheap flights to the USA
As blogged about before ($12 flights to Florida) The Orlando Sentinel details new routes by Aer Lingus from Ireland one being a direct flight to Orlando!
The new US-EU open skies principle extends to 27 countries which include 11 new markets that were previously stifled by bureaucratic aviation red tape and rules.
It has been hailed as a victory for capitalism and free trade as the new agreement could encourage competitive pricing - at the moment flight prices are hundred and have not fallen as much as flights within Europe (which can sometimes be £5 or less! - even reports of companies desperate to sell seats that they pay you £2.50 to take a flight!) This kinda of competitive pricing could open up the transatlantic gateway for more trade and commerce as well as cheap holidays. Watch this space for more info.
