Special Kissimmee events planned in addition to the Christmas events that are held at nearby theme parks.
Experience Kissimmee, the marketing bureau for the Osceola County’s tourism industry, said local attractions will host holiday-themed dinner shows and tours, while downtown Kissimmee will hold a a Festival of Lights parade on Dec. 14.
The town of Celebration has is annual “Now Snowing” event starting at the end of November, and of course, Gaylord Palms’ has its massive ICE! display, with two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures.
Arabian Nights Holiday Show, “Amirah’s Wish,” is a holiday dinner show performed on horseback and runs Dec. 1 – Jan. 2.
Capone’s Holiday Show dinner theater celebrates the holidays 1920s Chicago style, from Nov. 28 – Jan. 1.
ICE! at Gaylord Palms features Frosty the Snowman this year, with two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures, including four ice slides. It starts Nov. 23, and this year, guests can watch ice artisans in action.
Kissimmee’s Festival of Lights parade includes live caroling and a tree lighting ceremony in the area’s historic downtown. 7 p.m., Dec. 14.
Now Snowing in the town of Celebration runs from Nov. 30 – Dec. 31 and is a “Winter Wonderland” with an ice rink, strolling Charles Dickens Carolers, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriages, a train, and nightly snowfall every hour from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Red Christmas Barn at Green Meadows Petting Farm will host “an old-fashioned Christmas” from Nov. 28 – Jan. 1. Children ages 1-12 get a free toy from Santa’s bag.
